Someone who will understand and support the way you feel,
Always has your back and could tell when your concern is real,
Who listens to you without judging, right or wrong, good or bad,
Someone who reminds you of all the positive qualities you have,
I guess dogs are extremely intelligent creatures with a loyalty unexpectedly strong,
Senses fondness and emotions which paves a way for unbreakable bonds,
Doesn't matter if we look the same or we think alike,
Or because you're a different dog
Or we share different insights,
Not critical or judgemental
Open and free to every person that I meet,
Loyal and trained to be a warm and approachable being,
Interested and curious of everything,
I can't stay in the same place all my life,
What do I do when I'm in a locked cage
and everyone's having adventures outside,
Willing to be out there and experience new things,
but I spend my time listening to human dilemmas, problems, confusion and worries,
Not always obedient, not always following what is told to do,
I sense my own systematic ways, we have our own minds too,
Constantly arguing, having disagreements, dogs bark and dogs fight/bite
In the end it wouldn't matter who was wrong and who was right,
No matter how much I disobey, no matter how much I misbehave,
Don't worry, I'm not going to be the type of dog that runs away.
Aloha Britney, I enjoyed reading your poem because it was rhyming and it made sense. I mostly enjoy reading the last stanza. That was creative and unique. your poem was well thought out. Good job!
ReplyDeleteYour poem is good because you have good details talking about how you are a dog and how your life compares to it. Your last stanza is very good because you are talking about how dogs have their own mind an how you are calm and a nice person.
